Anna Salaman is a Cultural Heritage Learning Consultant based in York. She has been developing and working within museum and gallery spaces for children and their adults since the start of her career at the Natural History Museum in 1993, moving on to Executive Director for Playeum in Singapore, where in 2017 she launched Asia’s first Children’s Centre for Creativity. Anna has worked extensively within the UK and also internationally, with particular experience in working on children’s spaces from their inception, in Pakistan, Israel and China. Anna has published many articles on learning and play, and is currently leading on the interpretation and advising on play development for the Roald Dahl Museum, UK.

Anna is a volunteer for the steering group of the Playful Places Network, and is involved in the programming of speakers and events. She works with PLB and other design agencies developing playful interpretation and has recently developed training for play and the early years for Kids in Museums and supports Playful Places with sector specific training and development.
